Pole Gravity ~ Saturday 5th December 2009
Celebrating the Art of Pole Fitness & Dance
Congratulations go to Joanne Wilkinson and her many helping hands in putting on a lively event, bringing schools across the country and many individuals, together to show case their art of pole.
Thank you for inviting the free standing R-poles, specifically designed for the fitness arena and it was great that many pole fitness professionals had the opportunity to try it.
Many hours of choreography, costume making and networking prior to the event at the Winter Gardens at Blackpool, in amongst the Royal Variety 2009 preparations and rehearsals.
The event which was compared by Sally-Ann Giles (CJ) who is also know as in the pole community, who is in fact an admired pole performer and instructor and who has an amazing 7 championship pole competition titles in which one is of Miss Pole Dance UK 2007 winner. I myself hadn’t seen Sally-Ann perform since that finalist night and it was lovely to see her exuberant playfulness on the pole encapsulated with her amazing pole technical talent, strength, dance and flexibility.
Amongst all the talented groups and individuals a 16 year old new comer stood out for me, who incidentally also runs her own pole school and inspires many others in the professionalism of pole fitness and dance. Following her group performance, Jess Leanne’s individual performance was playful, professional, incredibly strong and an enjoyment to watch – we will be watching this very talented young lady in the years ahead and already she has her name down for Miss Pole Dance UK Professional category 2012 – Well done Jess Leanne Norris
