From Bella Monnery
1. How did you get into pole
I organised a party for my birthday…. I was looking for something a little different and fun!
It was so much fun, I started class’s the next week and fell in love with Pole Fitness.

2. Why pole and not the gym
I actually do both, and more.
Pole on it’s own is an amazing sport, that builds strength, flexibility, confidence and balance whilst learning a fun new skill.
I’ve belonged to the gym for a long time and still go 2 or 3 times a week.
I’ve been doing martial arts since 2001, specialising in Kick-boxing, training and instructing for many years now.
I have also trained in Boxing, K1, Chinese Boxing, MMA and Tae Kwondo. I enjoy running and challenging myself, and I have entered a few races now. My biggest being Tough Mudder last year.

Doing all this other training helped me progress quickly. I wanted to share this great sport and encourage others to take up Pole Fitness. So I took the foundation training in 2013, Advanced training in 2014 and began teaching and have never looked back!

3. What’s your favourite move
I have many, but I do enjoy the splits moves so Russian Splits is at the top!

4. Sexy or fitness or both?
Fitness, I love all the strength and flexibility moves.
Since joining the pole Passion team, my love of the sport has grown even more.

I Regularly help at the Miss Pole Dance UK competitions and love attending and teaching at Pole Passions week long,  Budapest Pole training Retreat every year.

Pole Passion Instructors are friendly, passionate, approachable and fully qualified to advanced teacher training standards and receive ongoing instructor training and support to keep class content fresh and safe.
Instructors are fully insured to teach pole fitness and first aid trained.

Dani Hibbert Pole Passion Littlehampton tells all

Dani Hibbert Pole Passion Littlehampton

1. How did you get into pole
I used to find going to the gym so boring and tried looking for another more fun way of getting fit.  I thought about Zumba and yoga then came across Pole Passion and thought why not try something new. Since then I've never looked back.

2. Why pole and not the gym
Pole combines my love of dance and gymnastics with a means of getting fit. I now also love going to the gym in order to help improve my pole fitness.

3. What’s your favourite pole move
Hmm choosing a favourite pole move is tricky because it changes so regularly. I do love handsprings though.. all types.

4. When did you get into pole?
It's been nearly 3 wonderful years.

5. Sexy or fitness or both?
Fitness ... I love watching my strength develop and seeing how far I have come. Though don't get me wrong... nothing wrong with a bit of sexy every now and again.

6. Least favourite pole move?
Yogini .. the only move I sigh at. I'm determined to make myself love it though.

7. What are your favourite pole spins?
Big fan of spin combos/ reverse grabs and thread the needle spin.

8. Favourite Celebrity and why?
Id have to say Channing Tatum... he's just Beautiful and he can dance!!

9. Who or what motivates you?
Thankfully there is no lack of motivation in my life.. my family, my friends, my students, the pole greats, the vision in my head of how good I can be if I work for it and my sheer determination. These are the things that keep me going when I feel like I could stop..

10. Interests outside of pole?
I'm into everything. Love trying new things. Secret adrenaline junkie. I enjoy baking cakes, watching films, reading books and spending time with my loved ones. I also want to see the world so travel whenever I can!!

Any other comments or points of interest or any other hobbies or businesses you want to promote

I love teaching and can't say how proud I am when my girls nail moves. Watching them progress is a beautiful thing. So often they don't believe in themselves but that's what my job is. To believe in them and show them what they are really capable of.

I still remember my first ever student.. her name was Maisie and I'm overwhelmed to be able to say she is now my apprentice and one of my closest friends. Watching her progress and turning into a wonderful instructor is so exciting.

Pole Passion Karla McCarthy opening Pole Passion Bersted classes in 2015

I'm Karla McCarthy.

I teach pole for Pole Passion out of Bersted Park Community Centre on the outskirts of Bognor and also work as an apprentice in our Pole Passion Littlehampton venue.

I originally attended pole classes a little apprehensive as to what I would find. Little did I know all that time ago that I would not only find the most fantastic all over body work out, but I would also find my second family!

Now not only do I still attend classes with my own instructor, but I also teach. I love teaching pole.
Each class is filled with men and woman from all walks of life, all looking for something different and fun. My classes start with a choreographed warm up, shaking off the stress of the day and having a little fun at the same time.
We then move on to working on your lesson plans before cooling down at the end of the session. Classes are mainly focussed around the sportier side of pole however for variation choreography workshops do run regularly and are always great fun.

I look forward to welcoming you to a class soon!

As I always say, why be ordinary, when you can pole?
