Pole fitness and dance gradings certificates from Pole Passion

Pole Passion grading 3rd November 2013

Review

Congratulations go to the nine members of the Pole Passion Fitness classes who successfully completed their grading this afternoon at Nuffield Health and Well Being gym in Crawley.

The grading is a place where students can show off their skills to family and friends without the fear of being wrongly judged and in a professional private, fitness environment
For nearly all the students it was their first ever time to perform their practised routines in front of a non paying audience for fun, fitness and a confidence boost. ‘Im very nervous but excited at the same time, this is the first time I have ever done anything like this.’ stated Debbie Reason, who won best entertaining level 1 routine of the afternoon.
Debbie from Pole Passion Reigate school was joined by other areas of  Pole Passion including schools operating out of Chichester, Chertsey, Bognor and Crawley, there were spectators from Worthing, Brighton & Hove and Redhill.
The grading is a unique concept to pole fitness and to Pole Passion’s school of teachings and was set up by Founder Kay Penney in 2009.  With the objective to support those students, in their continual professional developments for that of the students and instructors alike.
Routines are just a small element of the teachings at Pole Passion

The day ended with the trainer assessor Andi Ariseanu,  demonstrating a 5 minute professional pole fitness performance to, ‘Say My Name (spectrum) Florence and the machine’.
The grading take place between 3 and 4 times per year. www.polepassion.com

Why do I need insurance to teach Burlesque Dance - www.burlesque-fitness.com

Why do I need  insurance to teach Burlesque Dance?

As an instructor, whether part or full time,  you take on certain responsibilities and one of them is a Duty of Care to that of your students, fellow instructors and that of yourself.

Someone in one of your classes may injure themselves and bring a claim for compensation against you.

During a class a pupil damages equipment at a venue you are using.

A specific action you teach may be brought into question should a client suffer an injury resulting from your advice or instruction.

You may suffer injury during a session which means you can’t work (and earn) for a period of time.

You may injure yourself during a session and require physio treatment.

Your equipment needed to teach may get damaged lost or stolen.

We can support you for Burlesque Fit, Pole fitness, Pole dancing, and more

Just call our friendly team who can advise you 01293 888200 OR EMAIL US ON theteam@passion-fitness.com

FAQ

I just teach in my spare time do I need insurance?

It is an unfortunate fact of life that accidents happen. And in some cases the injured party may wish to pursue a claim for compensation. Although you may not be specifically at fault you could be liable to pay costly legal fees and damages. In fact you may find that some organisations (schools and colleges particularly) insist that you have relevant qualifications, security checks and insurance cover before being allowed to train

Do you cover Burlesque Fitness and my other aerobics sessions at the same time?
We have worked hard with our partners to ensure that the most popular participation sports and classes in the UK are covered under our scheme such as Aerobics, Boxercise, Spinning and Zumba, alongside some of your most popular activities like Burlesque fitness and Pole Fitness !

As I have a spare room at home, can I teach from home or a park / beach or public area?
Yes, if your home has passed the relevant health and safety checks and is suitable for the exercises you are teaching. If you want to take classes in your garden, providing you have enough space and you have completed the relevant paperwork each time, this would be acceptable. To instruct in an outside area e.g. a park, you are required to carry out certain procedures.
(This will all be taught on Day 1 of the burlesque Instructor Training Foundation Courses

From the South (M23 Junction 11) or from West (A264):
At M23 junction 11 roundabout coming from either the south or Horsham (on the A264) take the Crawley (A23) turning which takes you downhill to the outskirts of Crawley. At the roundabout (with Broadfield Stadium football ground on the left) turn right onto Southgate Avenue. At the third set of traffic lights take the right hand lane and turn into Hawth Avenue. Follow the road and you'll find us on the left hand side.
From the North (M23)
Take Junction 10 exit and follow signs to Crawley. At roundabout take first exit which will take you past Tesco and you'll come to a set of lights (with Blockbuster store on your left). Take a right at these lights. Continue along road (A2220) until you come to a large 'square' roundabout with a Holiday Inn Express hotel on it. Drive past the flats on the left hand side and take the next left which takes you over a railway bridge. The Hawth is right at the next roundabout.
