Pole Passion will be gathering its most experienced instructors and students to demonstrate the art of aerial hoops, pole fitness, pole silks and aerial hammock in a wild and fun opening day for all the family.

POLEBEAT® - PoleBeat is a registered Trademark.

PoleBeat Short high energy dance performances 45 second long slots - we chose the music, you improvise the moves out dancing the next competitor in sudden death!! She/he who dares wins in the battle to the trophy.

A high energy, intense, fitness and music based event.

The contestants come to the pole in pairs, chosen by the organisers.

Each contestant performance is preceded by a short introduction, each contestant in that pair has 45 of music in which to show their ability - repeated for each pair - the crowd reaction is taken into consideration.

Winners in each pair are then paired up and the process starts again.

The music comprises of a series of high energy tracks at a set BPM, the music continues between performances.

A count down will be given to end each performance

The Rules

The contestants must perform a different set of moves each round they perform in - variety will be marked highly.

High energy routines ...Intricate Combos, comedy, entertainment value, Dynamic poses, facial expressions,

body language, endurance and flexibility, cheekiness, sexiness, power, pole stunts, character, attitude, variations,

high speed transitions, fluidity, slow motion, freeze frame, balance, poise, grace, energy and ………. no fear factor



The Scores
Contestants are marked by 3 or more judges on 5 tier criteria
1. Style – costume! Anything goes from pure fitness attire to extreme bodypaint (no nudity)
2. Use of Stage – Stage presence, impression use of stage. Start / Finish on ‘X’
3. Routine – Variety and music choice (bpm/high intensity)
4. Use of Pole height
5. Difficulty and variety of combinations and tricks

The courses are written in English, so a good understanding of English is required to register for these courses

We recommend that each student has been learning pole for over 6 months to a year

The online exam is multiple choice questions and let us know if additional time is needed due to their English not being their first language

The Instructor Training courses consist of 

1. A theory section which is all online, with easy to follow information with an online exam at the end, lasting approximately 30 minutes

2. A practical section, where a series of videos are online for the students to go through with a mock lesson being videoed in your studio at the end and sent to us via youtube or similar for us to assess

The programme will pick just 5 moves at random, from the online videos, to be taught including a suitable warmup and cool down section

Miss Pole Dance UK Youth category Ambassador Mimi Age 12

Congratulations Pole Fitness Mimi for being the first child and youth performer age 12 to perform on the professional Miss Pole Dance UK Stage on October 7th 2017 at the Hawth Theatre in Crawley

Mimi has quickly become a child ambassador for pole fitness and started her journey on the pole at just the age of 6

Pole Passion will be hosting the annual Miss Pole Dance UK Amateur / Semi pro championships where the NEW category of the The Youth and Children's category is being introduced on Sunday 10th June 2018 

There will be two children and youth categories

1. Age 8-11

2. Age 12-15 

Children 16-18 can enter the amateur and semi pro categories on 9th June and 18+ can enter the professional categories on October 6th at the Hawth Theatre in Crawley

Underwater Pole photoshoot - Kay Penney Rpole

1) Have you ever done an underwater pole shoot before? 

Yes I do my first underwater shoot on the Pole Passion camp in Spain in 2011 

The water was freezing 

How did this latest shoot compare?

My first shoot was amazing because it was something that had never been achieved before and I love pioneering pole fitness in different situations 

My love of water 

My desire to be a synchronised swimmer and it was something that had never been done before was an added bonus  and that it was achieved with the portable RPOLE

This recent shoot was more organised 

There were more taking part and above all we had a professional camera man enabling a 90 minutes shoot rather than a 15 minute shoot 

2) Did you have specific moves planned for the shoot?

I had certain ideas but like with all

My shoots I tend to have more than required outfits and love the freestyle and in provision of the shoot 

3) Do you feel the Water made it harder or easier to achieve poses? Why?

The water was certainly a challenge but for me whilst the moves were easier to accomplish t was harder in the sense you had the challenge of controlled breathing going upside down and I opted to do it without goggles and a nose clip 

So more than often it went up

My nose making it extremely uncomfortable 

4) Do you feel happy with how the shoot went?

Yes thought I would have liked to have seen the pictures along the way and would have liked longer on the pole 

5) If you do another underwater photo shoot what would you change?

I would research underwater eyelash glue !! 

They fell off within the first 10 minutes

I would research underwater lipstick   

6) What preparation would you suggest for somebody looking to do an underwater photo shoot who hasn't done one before?

Chose dark colours 

Pale colours don't look as striking underwater

Go for flowing material 

Take your time 

Dare to be different

Nadia Budurusi - Romania and Kay Penney Pole Passion UK join incredible forces - World Pole Dance Sport & Fitness 2016

Nadia Budurusi, Pole Passion & Miss Pole Dance UK Creator, Kay Penney are set to revolutionise the World Of Pole Dance & Fitness in Bucharest, Romania

The Inaugural Miss Pole Dance Romania is being organised by the duo, for 10th September 2016.
Kay has been successfully running and organising Miss Pole Dance UK since 2005 and has always lead the nations pole competition arena
All winners are automatically chosen to represent their country in the
World Pole Dance Championships also to be held in Romania this year with a date now confirmed as 16th September 2016.

Nadia and Kay have been working closely together for over two years to make their dream a reality

Nadia was the perfect choice for her international business partner this year as seen below by Nadia's extensive biography

I have been on stage since I was 2 years old and my parents have and still are my coaches. I have always been inspired by them while watching them being part of the Romanian National Gymnastic Team and winning all the titles available. Once their Gymnastics' careers came to an end their life didn't stop there and they begun to dedicate their passion for dance and performance to the circus world. My father is the second person in the world to have executed the triple on flaying trapeze and my mother has never found a rival on the trapeze
I was up on the trapeze for the first time very soon after my 10th birthday. It was then when I started training with my brother and became a force on stage as a doubles' team performing aerials and hoops' acts.
Moving forward, 10 years after my first trapeze performance, I won the first Title for Excellence in Circus at the Monte Carlo Circus Festival, Rome Circus Festival, and won the bronze medal at the Dax Circus Festival.
Apart from circus, I also spent many hours in the dance studios, performing most styles from Latin Americans to Waltz and I am happy to share with you today that I am the winner of one Viennese Waltz International Dance Competition
By now you must be wondering if I have ever gone to school. The answer is yes and I didn't just limit my studies to GCSE level but joined The Academy of Arts in Bucharest Romania where I graduated the faculty of Film Making which helps me tremendously in creating my own choreography for my shows.
6 years ago and together with my family,  I  opened the doors to the first Circus School in Romania where my parents are still coaching the future generation of stage artists.
I did take a break from the spot light, for 5 years, to start a family but also to repair a few body parts following a few accidents in training but 5 years on it was too long for a pause for someone so active so this year I decided to return to the stage and the spotlight
After watching a few circus artists  performing pole dancing acts, I was hooked to the pole and almost immediately I started searching online where I could get more information and also I wanted to have my own pole and start training as soon as possible.
This is how I came across Pole Passion and a new chapter of my life began.
I am currently the only accredited pole fitness instructor in Romania and I must confess it is not easy at all. The Romanian society is very sceptical to what pole fitness actually means but I will never give up.
I am looking forward to organising the first Miss Pole Dance Romania in 2016.
I am absolutely certain that the help and support offered by Kay Penney and her team will make my dream a reality.
